Bio
Jason Slanga spent most of his high school and college careers studying networking and computer programming. In the end, however, he graduated with a degree in Ancient Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and moved on to teach Latin. Nevertheless, Jason still enjoys programming and web-design, and maintains the websites for Dulaney High School and Septentrionalis Americae Latinitatis Vivae Institutum (SALVI: The North American Institute for Living Latin Studies). He is also the state sponsor of the Maryland Junior Classical League.
When he is not speaking and teaching Latin, Jason works to teach technology in a way that is meaningful to teachers and students alike. In 2008, his presentation on Digital Storytelling was selected as Best of Maryland, by the Maryland Foreign Language Association, and the following spring was presented at the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Language.
